In the latest novel from the New York Times bestselling author of Hope Burns, a woman discovers that the man she least expects is exactly what she needs… High school math teacher Chelsea Gardner has the perfect plan. She’s tired of dating all the wrong men, and after years of frustration, she’s developed a foolproof list of requirements for finding “The One.” Bar owner Sebastian “Bash” Palmer finds Chelsea beautiful, smart and fun, but he thinks her list is ridiculous and unnecessary. Intent on proving Chelsea is looking for love in all the wrong ways, he offers to help her find the “perfect” man. Chelsea knows Bash isn’t the right guy for her—he barely meets one of her criteria—but there’s something about the charismatic man that has her yearning for things that are most definitely not list approved. Because sometimes, a relationship that looks totally wrong on paper can turn out incredibly right…

These poems deal mostly with Biblical issues. Some address our human condition based on the Scriptures. Others deal with unseen influences that many of us are unaware of, but which impact our lives for better or worse. They were written as a result of 21 years of studying the Bible. Originally my journey into the Scriptures began as I sought solutions to my own problems. However over the years it has became a quest for answers to life’s deeper issues. When I began reading the Bible I did not believe I would find solutions to my problems. I started reading it out of desperation after I had exhausted books on philosophy and the occult and just about anything else I got my hands on. I read many books promising “the secret” but they disappointed me. It is really astonishing that a book which just about everyone has sitting around really has the answer to every human need. I wrote these poems because I came to the realization that many people like me years ago, do not believe in the spiritual. And yet I believe it is evident that if we disregard Biblical teachings about the spiritual realms, life simply does not make a lot of sense. However it is also my experience that many people who claim to be spiritual do not understand what the Bible teaches about the spiritual realm that operates in the earth. These poems were also written for people who have difficulty reading and understanding the Scriptures. I try to clarify misunderstanding about many important Biblical issues such as Hell and pre-destination. They are written in simple poetic language for the benefit of anyone who is interested in Biblical Truth.

HOPE SHINES THROUGH LIGHTING A PATH IN THE DARKNESS Ever since the accident that confined him to a wheelchair, James Lapp has fought relentlessly to regain his strength. He knows he must be whole and healthy to run his family’s orchard and provide for Rachel King, the young woman he plans to marry. But when he defies his father’s wishes and seeks treatment outside their close-knit Amish community, James discovers just how long and treacherous the road to recovery will be. Unwilling to saddle a wife with his troubles, James decides he must part with the woman he loves. Rachel won’t give up her dream of being a devoted wife to James, and it breaks her heart to watch him shut her out. Then their lives change forever when a runaway Englisher girl hides in the Lapp orchard. Rachel and James feel they must risk the disapproval of their friends and neighbors to help her. Will the young stranger bring them closer—or will the consequences of a shared secret tear them apart once and for all?
